Content Audit & Strategy

Get a clear picture of what content you have, what's working, what's missing, and where to focus next. I combine content performance, buyer needs, competitive research, and AI-search visibility to build a practical strategy around your business goals.

This is for you if…

  • You're publishing consistently, but you're not sure what's actually contributing to results—or what deserves more investment.
  • Leadership wants to know what content is accomplishing, and you don't have a clear answer backed by evidence.
  • You're planning next quarter's budget with no clear basis for what to fund, cut, or double down on.
  • Your brand isn't showing up consistently in AI search—or AI tools are describing your company inaccurately or citing competitors instead.

What You Get

  • Content performance & AI visibility audit — a clear assessment of your existing content, its performance, and how your brand appears across relevant AI-search experiences.
  • Content inventory & architecture map — what you have, how it connects, where content overlaps, and where meaningful gaps exist.
  • Competitive content analysis — what competitors are covering, how they're positioning their expertise, and where there may be opportunities to differentiate.
  • Prioritized content strategy — recommendations grounded in your buyers, business goals, existing content, and the ways people are discovering information today.
  • Content roadmap & investment plan — what to create, refresh, consolidate, or retire, with priorities to guide your time and budget.

Content Writing & Refreshes

Turn the expertise inside your company into content your buyers can actually use. I research, interview, write, and refresh substantive B2B content—from articles and thought leadership to original research, white papers, and case studies—with human readers, search, and AI discovery in mind.

This is for you if…

  • Your subject-matter experts have valuable knowledge, but don't have the time—or writing support—to turn it into strong content.
  • You need to publish consistently, but your internal team doesn't have the bandwidth to research, interview, write, and edit everything themselves.
  • You have a library of older content and need to decide what's worth updating, consolidating, repurposing, or retiring.
  • You sell into a complex or cautious market where generic content isn't enough to establish credibility.
  • You want content designed to be useful and discoverable as buyers increasingly research through both traditional search and AI tools.

What You Get

  • Expert-led articles & thought leadership developed through research, SME interviews, and your company's existing knowledge.
  • In-depth content including original research, white papers, reports, guides, and case studies.
  • Content refreshes that improve the accuracy, relevance, structure, and usefulness of existing content.
  • Repurposing opportunities that help you get more value from strong ideas, research, interviews, and existing assets.
  • AI-search-aware content structured around clear claims, credible evidence, useful information, and the questions your buyers are actually trying to answer.

Fractional Content Lead

Get experienced content leadership without adding a full-time hire. I work as an extension of your marketing team to set the strategy, keep the content program moving, coordinate the people doing the work, and make sure you're investing in the right things.

This is for you if…

  • You're ready to build or grow your content program, but no one internally has the time or expertise to own it.
  • You need experienced content leadership, but a full-time hire doesn't make sense yet.
  • Content keeps getting pushed behind other marketing priorities because no one is responsible for keeping it moving.
  • You have writers, freelancers, or subject-matter experts contributing content, but no one connecting the work to a clear strategy.
  • You're spending too much of your own time assigning, reviewing, coordinating, and chasing down content work.

What You Get

  • A dedicated fractional content lead who works as an extension of your marketing team.
  • Ongoing content strategy and planning tied to your marketing priorities and business goals.
  • Editorial and production oversight from idea through publication.
  • Contributor and contractor management, including briefs, assignments, feedback, and quality control.

Let's get into the details

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the three services?

+

Audit & Strategy is a deep-dive content diagnostic and roadmap. Content Writing is ongoing production or a one-time refresh. Fractional Content Management is a monthly subscription that embeds me as a part-time content lead on your team. You can start with any one of them, or combine them as your needs grow.

What goes into a content audit?

+

Unlike surface-level content audits, I examine your internal business data, cross-reference content performance metrics from multiple platforms, analyze competitor content, conduct deep audience research, map your existing content architecture, evaluate the alignment between brand, audience, and content, and interview SMEs to get a full understanding of how content fits into your business. With this strong foundation, I design a content strategy tailored to your business goals.

How does the content writing process work?

+

I start from a content brief -- either you provide one, or I develop one that you approve. From there, I conduct research, interview SMEs, and analyze competitor and performance data to develop a narrative. Then, I build out a detailed outline. Once approved by you, I begin writing. Two rounds of revisions are included for every piece, and I often include ideas for repurposing a long-form piece into short-form content to extend the life and value of each piece. Each piece should connect to a larger strategy to perform well and realize ROI, so if you don't have a content strategy, I highly recommend starting there.

What does fractional content management look like day to day?

+

As a member of your team, I embed fully into the business. I work closely with your marketing leadership on strategy, reporting, content planning, campaign development, and content production. I collaborate with other departments, like sales, product managers, product marketers, and executive leaders to ensure content supports the entire organization. My goal is to own and grow your content program into a valuable arm of your business.

Can I hire you for a single content project?

+

I take on a few one-off content projects per quarter. If you're interested, let's talk!

How much do your services cost?

+

Project work, like content audits and refreshes, typically starts between $2,000 and $3,500. Ongoing support is billed monthly, starting at $3,000 for content packages and $5,000 for fractional content management, with a three-month minimum. Every engagement is scoped to your content and goals.

Who do you typically work with?

+

My content support model works best for small marketing teams with limited or no in-house content team.

I'm specialized in content for the public sector: local government, justice, public safety, social services, housing, land use, energy, economic development, and HR, so many of my clients are GovTech or CivTech companies selling into those verticals.

I also work with tech companies selling to higher education, healthcare, finance, and other businesses.

What makes your approach different from a content agency or freelancer?

+

As your dedicated content specialist, my job is to fully understand your business so I create content that's strategic and effective. Agencies and freelancers don't go that deep. I spend time conducting primary source research, interviewing your SMEs, and analyzing your data to mine for stories that will resonate with your audience the most.

I work with a small number of a clients at a time so each receive my utmost attention and quality of service.

How is content optimized for AI search specifically?

+

Every piece is built to be original, authoritative, and genuinely useful — the qualities Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other answer engines actually cite. The format and structure of the pieces may differ depending on the intended purpose.
